This year Kazan Innovative University celebrates its 30th anniversary. In honor of the event the unique exhibition "KIU: creativity, initiative, success" was opened in National Museum of Tatarstan. It is intended to acquaint visitors with the rich history and significant achievements of the Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov.

The Exhibition Opening Ceremony was headed by KIU’s Rector Asia Timiryasova and Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin.
Asia Timiryasova pointed out "30 years is a short time in terms of history and development of Russian education. However, it is a long path and a great achievement for the University that was founded in difficult 90s almost from the scratch."
As part of the opening of the exhibition, an award ceremony was carried out for KIU employees. This was another confirmation of the recognition of the merits of the university staff.
The exposition of the exhibition is striking in its diversity. You can find here everything: from archival documents and photographs to modern scientific works and books created by university scientists. Exhibits dedicated to the founder and first rector of the university Vitaly Gainullovich Timiryasov played an important role. They help us to understand better the personality scale of the person who stood at the origins of the university and put his soul into it.
Walking through the exhibition hall, you can see how the university has changed over the past 30 years. Here are students of KIU who are just starting their path in science and education, and here are already experienced teachers and scientists whose works are known far beyond the borders of the republic. Photos, documents, awards, personal belongings — all of this creates a unique atmosphere, evokes a sense of respect for the university and makes you feel proud of your native university.
Special attention at the exhibition is paid to scientific works and books created by KIU scientists. Here you can find works in a variety of fields of knowledge: from economics and law to inclusive education. These books are real treasures for those who are interested in science and want to learn more about the life and work of scientists.
The exhibition also reflects the vivid life of the student teams of KIU, who have repeatedly won national and Russian competitions. The cups and medals of the KIU national teams shows the athletic success of the students. In addition, the exhibition sanctifies the activities of the search party of the KIU "Red Arrow". Students annually take part in expeditions to the places of military glory of our soldiers during the Great Patriotic War.
Kazan Innovative University has been an active participant in the WorldSkills movement since 2016. Diplomas and medals of students demonstrate success at the championships of the Russian and European levels.
The exhibition provides a deeper understanding of the role of Kazan Innovative University in the development of higher education in Tatarstan and assess its contribution to the development of the intellectual potential of the Republic. This event was a vivid confirmation that the university continues to develop and improve, introducing new technologies and teaching methods.
