Informative and Fun: a Board Game About Russia for Foreign Students of KIU
Foreign students of KIU study Russian and learn about Russia not only in the classroom, but also at extracurricular activities. One of these events was the game "Hello, Russia", organized on March 21 for foreign students. During the game, they not only learned a lot about Russia, but also had fun with friends and teachers.
The board game "Hello, Russia" is an educational game in the form of a map of Russia with major cities and information about them. The guys, along with the teachers of the Department of Russian Language and Linguistics and the staff of the International Office, were divided into four teams. The goal of each team was to "visit" as many cities as possible. The whole game was held in Russian, which served as an excellent speaking practice for students. The students learned about many cities in Russia, about when they were founded and why they are remarkable. Also, the players were asked questions about the knowledge of the history of Russia, its culture, art and much more.
In addition to the game "Hello, Russia", the guys also played "Guess Who", which is popular all over the world. Students asked questions exclusively in Russian and guessed world-famous personalities, characters from books, cartoons and films.
The guys were very pleased with the game. They wanted to visit other cities of Russia and know more famous personalities.
